SCAFCS is nominating Dr. Eleanor Glover Gladney for the Distinguished Service Award (DSA) of AAFCS. Dr. Gladney has promoted FCS Education, continually updated all SC FCS curriculum to meet national standards, and encouraged FACS educators since she first arrived at the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) in 2002. She has linked Family and Consumer Sciences with CATE, brought ServSafe, and other professional development opportunities to the teachers. Donations are needed to reach the amount needed for her to receive this prestigious award.
